Savoring the Memories with Mailpix.com {giveaway}

When I became a Mom, my photographing increased. After purchasing a DSLR a few years ago, my skills and picture making have gotten better. I love the natural, caught-in-the-moment photos, as they are a work of art.

While I have cut down a bit on the photos, they simple stay on my hard drive, Facebook & Instagram. I simply could not have enough wall space for them all. But with Mailpix.com, I’ve been able to pick my favorites and memorialize them in my own way…with prints that I place into frames and on canvas, all of which I display proudly on my walls.

The goal of MailPix is to keep costs low and pass savings along to consumers. Using the latest easy-to-use web technology, integrated with social media, it is easier than ever to turn digital photos, Facebook and Instagram pictures into tangible products such as photo books, prints, cards, enlargements and a variety of gifts! MailPix was started by two Photo Industry veterans with a concern that a whole generation of photo memories, whether stored online  in hard drives or smart phones, would be lost to future generations and wanted to provide an affordable and simple way to turn images in memories.

Yearly, a photographer we hire or I will take the kids photos. Then I turn them into prints, display them on my wall and send them to the grandparents and share with other relatives. I also use those same photos to create our Family’s Christmas cards. With Mailpix.com, I can print my photos, big or small, create Christmas Cards and order as many canvas’s as my heart desires…all.in.one.place! What I’ve been using before Mailpix.com, is a few different services & companies, but I like that I can get all of this done at one place.

Since the Mailpix.com was new to me, I had a bit of a learning curve to understand how they do business. I like how you can order prints, especially in my case because I had a TON of prints to order. (Psst…I slacked last year and didn’t print any.) Though, it took me awhile to create my canvas, as it wasn’t as simple as others I had used in the past. I also had to be very selective of the photo I chose or it would cut off important parts. I worked past and it finally got in my groove!

I was curious to see the quality of the prints & canvas, as I had recently read a blog post comparing different printing service companies to the other. Call me naive, but I thought they were all the same, it just depended on the price and where you preferred to order. They came packaged wonderfully. The quality of all my DSLR photos were perfect, but my cell phone photos were fuzzy. I’m not sure if it’s because they came from my cell phone, but the photos always look great no matter what. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I’m taking pictures on the go, to take my DSLR. I can’t really say though, because I’ve never tried to print out my cell phone pictures.

In addition to prints & canvas photos, they also have photo books, calendars, cards and loads of different photo gifts to create. They are very affordable and constantly having some great deals. I would recommend you trying them out!
