Get ready to ride the rails to a fun jungle expedition when “Safari Adventures” – the latest all-new Chuggington DVD – pulls out of the station nationwide on February 12. There will be two versions of the title – including one that features a collectible Mtambo toy engine from TOMYTM, making it the perfect Valentine treat for young Chuggington fans! “Safari Adventures” lets preschoolers explore a whole trainload of six exciting stories (and a special Badge Quest episode!) – in which Koko helps a pack of trackside squirrels, Brewster investigates banana thieves and Wilson manages to haul a mischievous elephant to its new home. The action continues with monkey business for Zephie, a royal visitor for Mtambo and even more.
In this assortment of jungle-inspired adventures, the Chuggington crew embarks on a trainload of engaging escapades with a variety of exotic animals at Safari Park. Throughout the six episodes and bonus Badge Quest installment, Koko helps a pack of trackside squirrels, Brewster investigates banana thieves and Wilson manages to haul a mischievous elephant to its new home. The action continues with monkey business for Zephie, a royal visitor for Mtambo and more. Alongside helpful adult chuggers like Puffer Pete, Eddie and Dunbar, preschool trainees will explore key concepts such as problem solving, working together and being patient to help them stay on the right track as they learn and grow.
About 61 minutes long.
My thoughts…I’m seeing more of a trend of DVD releasers having a version with & without a small toy added. Either way, you get to watch a great dvd, however with the dvd it seems to connect my kids more to the dvd they are watching. And with the minimal additional cost, why not?
The kids are huge Chuggington fans and really have been enjoying watching Safari Adventures these last couple nights. I really like that the DVD’s being released lately, aren’t that long. So it makes it easier to watch a whole dvd in a night before the kids go to bed, or can be used in the car on short trips, etc. My favorite episode is when the monkey gets out and is “terrorizing” the trains. They hear noises but don’t see anything but bananas left behind. And when they find out whose behind it, they return him back his habitat.
Another of our favorite is when the trains go camo. They look like bushes and even one gets a paint makeover to look like a bird and squaks, though he doesn’t blend it, but causes somewhat of a ruckus. Then he learns how to put the animals back where they belong.u
