With the weather being rainy and cooler than normal here these last couple weeks, soup has been in order! We recently received a few of Campbell’s new Slow Kettle Style Soups to taste, along with some comfy socks, to review and they couldn’t have come at a better time.
- Braised Beef Stew with Baby Bella Mushrooms
- Roasted Chicken & Chardonnay with Fire-Roasted Tomatoes, Aged Parmesan & Pasta
- Southwest-Style Chicken Chili with Black Beans & Sweet Corn
The flavors available, alone, are very appealing. However, I was hesitant at first to see how they tasted and hoped they didn’t taste too processed and salty.
A night after work last week, it was late and cold outside, and I needed a quick meal for dinner. My hubby and kids had already eaten, and so it was only fair that I get to eat too, but I had limited time. I popped the Braised Beef Stew (of course after removing the metal lid) in the microwave for a quick 2 minutes and it was ready! Since I’m not a mushroom fan, it was very easy for me to fish them out and I was well on my way to devouring this tasty Slow Kettle Style soup.
The soup didn’t taste processed, salty or metalized. It was a great flavor and could have passed for being in a slow cooker for hours. There was enough for one for a meal and to maybe pair crackers or something else with it. It’s most definitely a comfort food, which made me put on these fancy/cute comfy striped socks that also came with the soups. It was great to kick back, relax and enjoy some yummy soup and just slow down for the night.
Because I bring my lunch to work, I was thrilled that it comes with it’s very own container..woot! No extra items to lug around or keep track of, like a bowl. They are a great addition to my normal lunch and will definitely be adding these to my routine.
