“Go for Gold” (SRP $16.98) gives young Wubb fans a front-row seat as Wubbzy joins a hoopty-hoops team, learns that being small need not get in the way of being a champion, and that playing fair is the onlyway to truly win.

In “Run for Fun,” one of seven fun-filled episodes on the new DVD, everyone in Wuzzleburg is so excited that the Wuzzolympic Games are coming to town – especially because this year’s official coach is none other than the record-shattering Michelle Kwanzzleberry (Michelle Kwan)! Wubbzy and his pals get geared up to compete in the big event, the Wuzzleburg Wacky Dash, and Michelle advises them to prepare, practice, and have fun! While Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden all devise shortcuts they hope will help them reach the finish line the fastest, Daizy helps her friends – and young viewers – learn that slow and steady wins the race!

The DVD also features Touchdown Tiki (Tiki Barber), the best footy-football player EVER! In the episode “What a Card,” Wubbzy and Daizy both want to round out their footy-football card collections with the very rare Touchdown Tiki card.  When their buddy Earl unwittingly gets it, they both try to become his best friend in hopes that he will offer them the coveted card. 

The new 82-minute DVD features special coloring and activity pages and music videos to get kids moving.

Scholastic will help to pole-vault the Olympic-themed fun even further with a colorful new 8×8 paperback book inspired by the sporty stories on “Go for Gold.”

I think the release of this Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! DVD is GREAT! It comes at a GREAT time when the Olympics have just begun. My daughter is an AVID lover of Wubbzy. AND I am an AVID lover of the Olympics! I’m MOST positive this will be a HUGE hit for my daughter. (We will be receiving the DVD at a later date.) If your child LOVES Wubbzy just as much as MINE does, then this would be a GREAT way to incorporate the Olympics into their lives that they can relate to and learn about.
