“It was love at first sight between my eldest son, Douglas, and his beloved stuffed kitty, Cocoa. He takes her everywhere, his constant companion. He offers her to friends and family even strangers as a type of hello. She is his most favorite thing in the whole world. This special relationship was my inspiration when naming my children’s clothing line, classic clothing in vivid colors and prints both sweet and sophisticated, clothing your child will want to wear everywhere, show to everyone, and smile constantly while wearing.
I am Kendal, the owner and designer of Douglas & Cocoa and proud mother of three little boys. I have a Masters degree in Asian Art History, but my true love since I was a little girl has been designing clothes. The special bond between my boys inspired me to design pajama sets for babies and toddlers in matching fun vivid colors and prints, sets that could be worn day or night. As a mother I have learned the value of a GOOD blanket, one that is cuddly, but also durable, and with that in mind I designed matching blankets for the pajama sets with a snuggly soft side and a brilliant print side.
